Site Information: Forestport
This site was purchased by the RADC in 1951. Low frequency communications experiments were conducted using the 1205 foot tall "Forestport tower." On July 21, 1953, an F-S6 Sabrejet crashed just north of the site, near Meyer's Hill. The pilot bailed out and escaped unharmed.
